Give your time

Every volunteer is instrumental in providing shelter to families after disaster, wherever they are in the world.

Whatever skills, knowledge or spare time you have, you can play a vital part in this process. All we need is your passion.

Keeping you on the pulse

Representing ShelterBox at events, or helping out is always easier with a bit of familiarity and training. We run regular regional training so we can keep everyone up to date on our latest work.

Look out for our monthly volunteer email newsletter - you'll always feel up to date and part of our community.

Stay tuned for updates on social media.

Collection box volunteer roles

At various locations across the UK, we're looking for help liaising with local retailers, collecting and depositing collection boxes that sit by checkouts.

We're nice and flexible on your involvement, you can help out when it's easiest for you. Leave your details in the form below, and we'll get back to you.

Response team volunteer roles

Later this year, we'll be running a new round of recruitment to grow our ShelterBox response team. Our response volunteers go the extra mile to reach families in need of shelter and give them the tools to rebuild their lives, wherever disaster strikes around the world.

We're looking for people who can volunteer for a minimum of six weeks each year (twice a year, for three weeks at a time) and complete training webinars each month.

The first stage of the recruitment process will be open from 1 December 2016 until 22 January 2017 and applicants must be able to commit to a full training course.

A full role description will be published soon, but if you have any questions in the meantime, please email:

It’s an incredible feeling to be able reach out and help people on the other side of the world in what is quite possibly the worst moment of their lives. That’s why I support ShelterBox.
