Rebuild communities and lives
Family comes first when it comes to writing a will. Remember ShelterBox in your will and you’ll be hastening the day that no family goes without shelter after natural disasters and conflict.
Leaving a gift in your will to ShelterBox is a lasting way to make a difference. To create a legacy that shows you share our determination to transform the lives of families all over the world.
Your support enables us to build up supplies to prepare for catastrophes, whatever the scale, and position aid in strategic locations across the world to ensure that we are always ready to respond. It also helps us to recruit and train ShelterBox volunteers and staff members who go the extra mile to help our hand-packed aid reach the people who need it most.
Making a difference
Every gift we receive, large or small, will help to rebuild homes and transform lives for years to come.
Leaving a gift
There are several ways to leave a gift to ShelterBox.
- A pecuniary gift is a specific amount of money, such as £3,000.
- A residuary gift is a share of your estate, such as 1/8, given once any pecuniary gifts, expenses or debts have been paid.
Small changes can be made by adding a codicil. If you do not have a will or need to make large changes, we recommend consulting a solicitor.
Leaving a gift to a charity can also help reduce or avoid inheritance tax.
